Match #1: Money in the Bank Ladder Match!
money-in-the-bank-wrestlemania-25
CM Punk, Mark Henry, MVP (United States Champion), Finlay, Shelton Benjamin, Kofi Kingston, Christian, Kane

The match starts and all hell breaks loose in the ring. Kane and Mark Henry immediately throw everyone else out and are the only two left in the ring. Shelton and Christian bring in the first ladder and Kofi Kingston takes them both down using the ladder. He tries to set the ladder up and head for the briefcase but is thrown out by Finlay, who is knocked out by Kane. Kane and Henry climb for the briefcase but everyone else is back in and pull them down.

They push Kane out and then go for henry. More than half climb the ladder again and Mark Henry and Kane push the two ladders (who knows where the other ladder came from) apart and they all fall down.

Finlay eventually gets the ring alone but there is no ladder! Kane and Henry had thrown it out. MVP does a ball in on the ground on Kane and Christian. Kofi and CM Punk flip into the crowd. Shelton Benjamin climbs on top of the 15 foot ladder and jumps, flipping into the entire crowd. (the crowd starts chanting “holy shit”) Before Mark Henry can go down, Finlay hits him with his shalleleigh. Hornswaggle brings a little ladder up and the two use it to place Hornswaggle on top of top of Henry - he then jumps into to the rest of the wrestlers on the floor!

Finlay grabs a ladder and gets it into the ring. Kofi arrives but stands no chance against the Irishman. Until, that is, he uses the ladder to take him down. Finlay uses the small step ladder to take down the opposition and goes for the briefcase. Once again Kofi is after him, spin kicking him off of the ladder. Kofi heads up again only to be knocked down by Mark Henry.

As Henry tries to set the ladder up, Kofi climbs up the ladder before it’s even in it’s “A” position. Henry knocks him off and then throws him (back first) onto the ladder.

MVP uses a large ladder right into Henry’s back, through the rope, to get him off of the ladder. Shelton Benjamin and MVP go at it. Shelton jumps for MVP but winds up powerbombed onto the mat. MVP climbs the ladder and goes for the briefcase but CM Punk comes from out of nowehere and climbs onto the other side of the ladder. Christian comes into the match too and pulls Punk down to take his place. The two fall down from the ladder and it looks like it hurt!!

MVP once more climbs the ladder but benjamin scales through three ladders to try to slam him down - it didn’t work and MVP goes face first down the ladder. Benjamin powerbombed him over the top ring (WOW) where he landed on a number of wrestlers.

Benjamin and Finlay go at it on the top before Finlay gets thrown down onto another ladder (you can hear his head smack). Benjamin sets up a second ladder as Christian climbs the first. The ladder tips over and Benjamin falls. Christian climbs but CM Punk jumps onto the ladder and stops him from reaching the briefcase.

Kane climbs up as well and once again stops Christian (as Punk hangs upside down on the ladder). Kane tosses Christian back first down onto the mat and now it’s Punk and Kane at it. Kane grabs him for a chokeslam but he frees himself and kicks Kane off of the ladder. Punk goes for the briefcase and has it!!

WINNER: CM PUNK

Now we get a recap of what happened at the WrestleMania Axxess tour.

And now Kid Rock is performing on the top of the ramp. Classic Kid Rock “My name is KIIIIIIIIIIDD…KID ROCK!” He’s doing a nice mix of his older songs - can’t tell if the crowd is getting into it as we’re not seeing much of them!

He gets to the song “So Hott” and all of the Divas come out and head to the ring.

Match #2: Diva Battle Royale

new-divas-battle-royal-announced

Candace Michelle is sitting with Mae Young out on the side.

The divas are going at it in the ring and are quickly being eliminated. Santino is dressed in drag with a hot pink short skirt, black wig, and halter top in the ring as well. He even has a scarf around his neck!

Molly Holly was there and was eliminated, as was Sunny. Now we’re down to Beth Phoenix, Melina, Mickie James, Michelle McCool, and “unknown Diva” (Santino).

Santino stays out of most of it and Michelle McCool and Mickie James eliminate each other by falling together off of the outside of the corner rope.

Phoenix and Melina are going at it and Santino throws them both over the top rope!!

Candice Michelle arrives in ring to crown Miss. Wrestlemania, who announces herself as “Santina” - Santino Marella’s twin sister from Italy. Candice Michelle crows her/him and puts the sash on him/her and “Santina” blows air kisses and looks so proud of herself and starts dancing!

A little commercial showing the back story to the next match is shown - Mickey Rourke’s interviews and the entire back story.

jericho-vs-the-legends-wm-xxv

Chris Jericho VS. Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, with Rick Flair in their corner.

Mickey Rourke is sitting at in the front row with a black suit and cowboy hat on.

Piper gets the first shot at Jericho and goes for it. He immediately gets Jericho over the top rope and they’re on the floor for a few minute but quickly go back into the ring. Piper goes for a roll up but Jericho kicks out. On the back of Piper’s shirt is “Old School is Cool - WM 0-25″

Snuka is tagged in and starts going at Jericho for a moment. He’s quickly tagged out and the Dragon is tagged in and goes to the top rope in the corner and flies onto Jericho. He makes quick work doing some arm drags on Jericho and refuses to let go of Jericho’s left arm. Snuka is tagged in and the two knock jericho down in a double clothesline.

Jericho gets Snuka in the walls of Jericho and he taps out. Snuka is out.

Piper is back in and is kicking Jericho into the corners with his signature yell. He then pokes Jericho in the eyes! He snags a sleeper onto Jericho but Jericho manages to knock himself loose using the ropes. Jericho then gets Piper down for the count.

The Dragon is on the top rope and flies onto Jericho! And the count - 1 - 2 - and Jericho kicks up. A few chest slaps and a boot into The Dragon’s face. Jericho gets a submission hold (double checking which one) into the Dragon but he fights back. Jericho tries to throw him over the rope but The Dragon holds on. Flair gets involved but Jericho knocks him off of the rope. The Dragon gets Jericho out of the ring and onto the floor and then jumps over the top rope onto Jericho into the floor.

Back in the ring where The Dragon goes at Jericho and rolls him up, but only for a 2 count. More chest slaps and a bull dog into the mat for The Dragon. Jericho goes for a lion sault but The Dragon moves! They’re going at it again and The Dragon bodyslams Jericho into the mat, but once again, he kicks up.

Jericho tries to get The Dragon into the Walls of Jericho and is effective, but he maneuvers out and gets Jericho into a cradle, but Jericho gets out.

Jericho throws a Code Breaker onto The Dragon and it’s a 3 count.

WINNER: Chris Jericho

But we’re not over! Flair throws his jacket off and jumps into the ring. Severe chops to Jericho but Jericho gets Flair into a back drop and puts the Codebreaker onto him. Flair rolls out of the ring and Jericho gets the mic.

“I am the best in the world at what I do. And I did just what I said - I eliminated the hall of fame washouts forever. And now, there’s one more piece of business to the man who started all this. I’m talking to you, Mickey Rourke.”

“You play a tough guy in the movies. I play a tough guy in real life. So i want you to come up into this ring and apologize to me for what you said right now.”

Rourke gets his bracelet taken off and heads for the ring. He takes off his jacket and his hat and hangs around on the ring apron for awhile. He finally climbs in and gets into a boxing stance. Rourke starts punching and jabbing into Jericho’s face!

Jericho throws his fists up and the two circle each other. Rourke gets a few shots into Jericho including a right into the gut and a left to the head!

Flair comes back into the ring and throws up Rourke’s arm.

Jericho walks away on the ground, rubbing his head, as Flair and Rourke walk the ring and hug in the middle of the ring.

Now we get the back story of the next match, which is:

Match #4: Brother VS Brother

brother-vs-brother

Matt Hardy VS Jeff Hardy

Extreme Rules - winner only by pinfall or submission.

Matt comes out first to just his music. Jeff comes out to pyro and in full face paint.

The match begins and almost immediately Jeff goes under the ring and Jeff uses a Wrestlemania poster to smack Matt with. He grabs a garbage can but Matt deflects it. Jeff pulls out the stairs, runs up it and lands on Matt. Matt climbs back into the ring and Jeff grabs a metal chair from near the announcers table. he runs and jumps up it and onto the corner ropes as Matt moves. Jeff climbs onto the rope and goes into a whisper in the wind only to be met by a chair wielded by Matt in mid air!

Matt grabs a Shop Vac from under the ring and slams Jeff in the head with it. He goes for a pinfall but Jeff kicks out. Matt sideslams Jeff onto the steel chair. Matt gets Jeff into the corner and grabs one arm and one leg and stretches him. He then grabs a table and sets it up outside of the ring. He grabs Jeff and is trying to flip him onto the table but Jeff fights back. Jeff runs on the apron of the ring and flies into a clothesline onto Matt.

Jeff grabs a kendo stick and a crutch and starts whacking Matt with the kendo stick. Another garbage cane come out thanks to Jeff and he throws the can on top of Matt and whacks the can with the cane and also jumps up and kicks the can with both legs.

Jeff goes for a Swon Ton Bomb and Matt rolls away. Matt gets a Twist of Fate on Jeff and goes for the count, but Jeff kicks out.

Matt climbs the corner rope but jeff stops him before he goes anywhere. Matt gets suplexed off of the second rope and Jeff grabs the metal chair again only to shack Matt upside the head with it. Jeff gets lain on top of the table and Jeff shacks him with the chair only to lay it on top of him. He goes under the ring and snags another table. He then sets it up, unfolded, on top of the table that Matt is laying on!

Jeff climbs to the top of the ring and and leaps, chest first, onto the top table, crushing it onto Matt and landing them both onto the floor!!

Jeff’s up first and pulls Matt into the ring. Jeff goes for the pin but Matt was able to put his foot on the ropes to stop the count. Jeff rolls out and throws the chair back in. He pulls a few ladders out from underneath the ring and puts them into the ring. Jeff climbs on the chair and leg drops Matt’s neck.

Jeff sets up two ladders, one really big and one a bit smaller. He climbs onto the smaller ladder and leapfrogs over the top of the ladder into what The King is calling a Sonic Burst. Matt moves, however, and Jeff lands hard on his ass.

Matt gets Jeff’s head into the chair between the seat and the back of the chair and pulls a twist of fate!! And we’ve got the count.

WINNER: Matt Hardy

Back from a quick commercial for Legends of Wrestlemania to find Orton, DiBiase Jr., and Rhodes getting ready.

Match #5: JBL VS Rey Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship

jblvs-mysterio-wrestlemania-xxv

JBL comes down and chats a bit with the mic before Rey Mysterio comes out, in a purple outfit complete with jacket, gloves, and a joker mask, looking to be paying homages to Heath Ledger’s joker. He pulls the green hair off on his walk down the ramp and starts handing out something to a bunch of people in the crowd (looked like maybe playing cards?!)

Mysterio climbs into the ring and the two are officially announced. JBL starts attacking Mysterio by using his boot before the match even starts. The ref gets him back and then officially starts the match. Mysterio repays JBL’s boot with one of his own to JBL’s face, and Mysterio goes for a quick 619. Mysterio climbs onto the corner and dove off of the top rope onto JBL and gets the 3 count!

WINNER: and New Intercontinental Champion: Rey Mysterio

The match apparently took 21 seconds, according to Lawler.

JBL is in the middle of the ring and takes the mic. “I have something to say,” he mumbles, only to then yell “I QUIT!” He then walks out of the ring and up the ramp yelling “you’re gonna miss me” to the crowd.

Now another vignette showing the back story behind the next match:

Match #6: Shawn Michaels VS The Undertaker

shawn-michaels-undertaker-wrestlemania-25

The Undertaker is 16-0 at Wrestlemania.

Shawn Michael’s is, once again, dressed all in white. This time he’s on top of a high podium and is lowered to the ground, fog coming out as he’s being lowered. He looks to be praising the heavens. Church-like music is even playing instead of his regular theme. Tons of white pyro as he gets off of the podium and when it clears we find Michaels with just a vest and pants on (no jacket/hat) and his normal music starts playing.

(we get an update that there are over 70,000 fans present at the Reliant Stadium for Wrestlemania 25 tonight).

The Undertaker rises from the floor to his normal music and normal entrance.

The match starts off pretty slowly, a few chops and not much else. The Undertaker seems to be getting most of the damage so far, but he manages to stop Michael’s right hand from whacking him and throws Michaels to the top of the ring post. Michaels does a quick little DX sign and jumps at Taker, but misses. The two are going at it slowly but surely, with Taker showing his power and Michaels showing his quickness.

Michaels gets tossed into a high back drop by The Undertaker. The Taker takes him up again for a body slam, and pulls Michaels back up. Taker climbs the rope and is walking the rope! He drops the arm on him and Michaels goes down. He goes for Michaels, who’s in the corner, but Michaels moves and starts to take over the match. Michaels is trying to put the Taker into the Figure Four and manages to lock it in.

Taker gets out of the hold thanks to his long right hands, but Michaels goes back to the Taker’s right leg. The Undertaker catches Michaels up and slams him into the corner, proceeding to work on him with his hands and boot. Taker catches him up and deals him snake eyes and then his boot, with a leg drop in the middle of the ring. He goes for the count but Michaels kicks out.

Taker throws his hand up and stands ready for a chokeslam. He grabs Michaels but Michaels gets a crossface on him. The Undertaker stands up, Michaels still hanging on, and the taker picks him up and slams him down into a side slam. Another 2 count and they both take a quick breath.

Back to chops and punches until Michaels launches off of the ring and slams into Taker and they both go down. Michaels kips up and Taker slowly rises to his feet. Michaels gives him two inverted atomic drops and gets the Taker to the ground. Michaels climbs to the top of the corner and jumps, only to be caught in a choke hold. He goes for a choke slam and Michaels gets out of it, only to be caught up a second later in Hells Gate (Gogo Platta), but Michaels gets to the rope and saves himself.

Outside of the ring the Taker stalks Michaels and slams him facefirst into the stairs. He tosses Michaels into the ring and positions his head dangling on the edge. Taker gets on the apron and goes for a leg drop onto his head but Michaels moves.

In the ring Michaels baseball slides Taker, who is outside of the ring, and starts climbing to the top of the turnbuckle again. He goes for a moonsault and misses, landing outside of the ring with a sickening thud.

The Undertaker rolls back into the ring and MIchaels is being talked to by the ref. The Taker sits up and then stands, looking a little soozy. He runs to the back and flies over the ring and aims for Michaels but lands on the camera man!! The two lay, prone, on the floor. It was Michaels who pulled the camera man into harms way.

Michaels rolls into the ring and then out again. He tries to help the ref, who is groggy from being pushed out of the way, into the ring. Another ref runs down from the back but Michaels doesn’t seem to see him. it looks now like the other ref is gone. Michaels tries to get the ref to count the Taker out.

The Undertaker starts to get up and looks to have a hard time of it. At the count of 9 he rolls into the ring and Michaels definitely looks upset at this fact. Michaels gets up and starts to tune up. He goes for Sweet Chin Music but the Taker grabs him into a choke slam and lands it! He rolls up Michaels for the 1 - 2 - and Michaels kicks out!

The Undertaker stands slowly and tries to slam Michaels, who turns and goes for chin music, but misses the first time and goes into a choke, but Michaels gets loose and finally lands his sweet chin music. He goes for the count - 1 - 2 - but The Undertaker throws his arm up at the last second.

Both men are laying on the ground. Michaels kips up and goes to grab The Undertaker, but The Undertaker grabs him by the neck and goes for the Last Ride, but misses. He gets Michaels up again and lands The Last Ride! The Undertaker goes for the count - 1 - 2 - but Michaels throws his arm up again!

The Taker is up and goes to the turnbuckle. He climbs to the top and goes for a flying elbow, only to miss. The ref starts to count out but the two slowly get to their feet. The Taker gets Michaels into the Tombstone Piledriver and nails it! He once again goes for the count - 1 - 2 - but Michaels rolls out!!

The Undertaker looks shocked and they both lay there, dazed at what is going on. The Taker stands up and pulls the top of his shirt off. He signals the cut across his throat and grabs Michaels up. He pulls Michaels up but Michaels counters with a quick DDT. Once again, both men lay on the ground, but this time Michaels starts pulling himself up at the turnbuckle. He goes to the top and lands a flying elbow onto The Undertaker.

Michaels starts slowly tuning up. He lands some sweet chin music on The Undertaker - you could hear this one! He goes for the count but The Undertaker gets his shoulder up!

The two are once again on the mat while the ref starts to count out. They slowly get up and grab each other while they’re both on their knees. Using each other they finally stand up and start smacking each other again, as they were in the beginning. The Taker kicks Michaels down and is breathing heavy. He picks Michaels up for another piledriver but Michaels gets out of it. Michaels is in the corner and The Undertaker goes to slam him when Michaels throws his leg up and lands his boot to the Taker’s face.

Once again Michaels climbs to the top rope and the Undertaker catches him and gives him another Tombstone Piledriver! This time he goes for the count and he nails it!

WINNER: THE UNDERTAKER 17 - 0.

Another quick commercial - in 8 days we’ve got another draft coming! Vince’s way to “shake things up” - or his attempt at saving Smackdown.

Evander Holyfield is shown at ringside - nice!

And a quick backstory for the next match:

Match #7: World Heavyweight Champion Edge VS Big Show VS John Cena For the World Heavyweight Championship

cena-edge-bigshow-wrestlemania-25

Vickie Guerrero is wheeled down to the ring by Chavo Guerrero before the rest of the stars come out.

Cena’s music is hit but dozens and dozens of men come out dressed looking exactly like John Cena! They all throw their hands up and do the “you can’t see me” as the real Cena comes running out!

The match begins and everyone starts going at it. Cena runs into the Big Show but it doesn’t even budge him. the Big Show picks edge up and lands him, crotch down, onto the top rope. He then starts working on Edge some more, smacks and slaps, until the throws him into Cena, who picks up Edge. They both get booted by the Big Show.

Show starts in on Cena. Vickie gets wheeled around to Edge, who is laying prone on the outside of the ring. Show’s still workign on Cena, tossing him around the ring. Cena climbs to the top and drops his leg onto Show. Edge comes over and throws Cena into the ring. Cena tries for the Attitude Adjustment but Edge counters. He climbs to the top of the turnbuckle but Cena stop him before he gets too far. Show’s back in the ring and drops Cena. Cena gets up and fights back, though, but is pulled out of the ring by Chavo! Cena tosses him. Show winds up tied up in the ropes and is screaming. Cena gets Edge down and does the 5 Knuckle shuffle onto Edge.

Vickie climbs onto the top of the ring and as Edge tries to spear Cena, hits Vickie instead, who has her fall broken by Chavo, Cena rolls Edge up but he kicks out.

Show gets out and immediately knocks down both men. He’s got one in each corner and alternates slamming them and slapping them. He throws them into the same corner and slams them. He grabs each one by the throat but only manages to slam Edge. Cena goes for a Fireman’s carry on Show but misses and gets slammed by Show’s right hand and is out of the ring.

Show grabs Edge, who is on the other side of the floor of the ring. Edge counters Show’s move and hauls the stairs over to Show. He jumps off of the stairs and onto Show and they both crash through the barricade and onto the concrete!

Edge tries to haul Show out but can’t, so he goes for Cena and throws him into the ring instead. He hooks he leg but Cena kicks out. Cena gets and STF onto Edge, who crawls to the ropes, but Cena pulls him back. ONce again he tries crawling to the ropes - this time The Show is there to haul Cena out. He climbs onto the second rope and tries to drop onto Edge, but Edge rolls away, making Show land on his own face.

(note on Big Show - JR says he wears a size 22 ring)

Cena grabs Show and tries to lift him. He can’t. Edge helps him and they slam Show into a back drop. a truce looks to be formed as they both knock Show out of the ring, but Edge immediately knocks Cena down with his boot right after. Cena gets Edge to the ground and climbs to the top rope. Show pushes Cena, however, and everything looks messed up. Edge pulls Cena and ries for the count but Show pulls Edge out.

Show gets Edge into the corner and Edge tries for a sleeper on Show. Cena picks them both up for an STF - Edge drops down but he lands the STF on Cena. He then got Edge with the STF and manages to get the count on the Show.

WINNER: And new World Heavyweight Champion - John Cena

Only to have his music hit and to have him come out in pants and a t-shirt driving a 4 Wheeler!! THIS is the Stone Cold we love! He circles the ring twice and goes back up the ramp - but comes down backwards. He shuts the 4 Wheeler off and gets into the ring. He gets a few beers and gives us classic Stone Cold, saluting the fans. He comes out of the ring and gives JR a beer to drink with him and steals his hat, eventually putting it back. He throws the cooler into the ring and grabs a few more beers!

He drives to the top of the ramp, salutes the fans once more, and then we’re out.
