WWE Raw: Official Report

WILKES BARRE, Pa

WWE RAW Opener: Ben Roethlisberger

RAW opens with Ben Roethlisberger being introduced. He comes out to a pretty huge pop actually. He says he hears some boo's and knows there's some Eagle fans in the house. He says he wants to start off by introducing the Diva Bowl.

Diva Bowl:
-Diva Roster 1 vs. Diva Roster 2 (Babyfaces Raw,ECW,SD) Vs. (Heels Raw,ECW,SD)

Out comes half the entire Diva roster in Steeler jerseys (cut off as belly shirts). The other half of the Divas (from all three brands, by the way) comes out in white belly shirts. Gail Kim comes out in a striped belly shirt as the ref, complete with yellow flags for penalties. All Divas square off and tackle into each other like football players. Gail Kim is blowing the crap out of a whistle and throwing flags. She tries making it one-on-one in the ring, but no one listens. All Divas are battling now. Long spot where every Diva gets a chance to hit her finisher on another. Ends when Mickie James hits hers on Alicia Fox and rolls her up for the pinfall.

Winner: Mickie James/ Diva Roster 1 (Babyfaces)

After The Match: Randy Orton Interupts

Randy Orton's music hits while all the Divas are still in the ring. He starts to make his way to the ring as we head to commercial.

In-Ring Segment: Randy Orton's Challenge To John Cena

We return and Orton is in the ring by himself with a microphone and the WWE title. He tells us he defeated John Cena last night to become a six-time WWE champion. He says everyone claims Orton needs to cheat to win. He asks us when he cheated last night. He says he and Cena walked into Hell In A Cell last night and he beat Cena - end of story. Orton says he bets any second Cena is gonna come out here and interupt him and ask for a WWE title rematch. He tells Cena to go ahead and come out and say what he wants to say because he knows exactly what he's going to say to you. Cena's music hits. Cena comes in the ring and squares off with Orton, no mic. Orton says Cena looks awfully excited but he will not get a rematch tonight for the WWE title. The crowd boo's. Cena gets a mic and says that statement tells us he doesn't give a damn about the WWE Universe. He says he is a WWE Superstar who strives to be the best however. He says he's out here to congratulate him on his win last night at HIAC. He says some may not agee but Orton walked in the cell and walked out as WWE champion. He says he realized last night that Orton-Cena has become a rivalry. He says it has become THE rivalry. He says everytime they're in the ring against each other - it's amazing. He says having said that, he'd like to do it one more time. He says this time it'll be the match of all matches. He says an Iron Man match. He says you put 60 minutes on the clock and two men in a ring and at the end of the 60 minutes, the man with the most victories is the WWE champion. He says this match will be so legendary that this is how the rivalry ends. He says no second chances. After this Iron Man match, that's it. He asks Orton what he thinks. Orton says he see's what he's trying to do. He says if Cena somehow wins, then Orton can't get another rematch and why would he go for that. He says they will end this once and for all but on his terms. He says if Cena wins he gets the title but if Orton wins, Cena is off of RAW for good. He says Cena can go to SmackDown! or ECW, he doesn't care, but he wants Cena off his show. Cena says he'll do it. Orton says that's not all. He says no DQ's, no count-outs as well. He tells Cena to take it or leave it. Cena agrees to that as well.

Jack Swagger vs. Primo

Swagger's music hits and he comes to the ring. He has a microphone and cuts a terrible promo just reminding us that he wasn't pinned at Hell In A Cell last night. He says his goal is to remain undefeated for the rest of 2009. Primo's music hits and out he comes for a one-on-one match. Finish comes when Primo comes off the top rope and catches a big boot from Swagger. Swagger follows that up with his gut-wrench power bomb and the clean pinfall. Swagger is 1-0 now in his quest to finish the year undefeated.

Winner: Jack Swagger

Backstage: Chris Jericho & Big Show

Backstage we see the Unified Tag-Team champions Chris Jericho and Big Show talking. We head to commercial off of that.

Backstage: Divas & Santino Marella

Backstage we see all the Divas yelling and arguing. Santino Marella seperates them, as he breaks through with a referee uniform on. He does a mock penalty ref call like in an NFL game. He tells Mickie and Alicia to kiss and make up. Alicia smacks him and the Divas brawl. We fade away.

Backstage: The Miz & Ben Roethlisberger

Backstage we see Ben Roethlisberger in his office. The Miz comes in and complains about Kofi Kingston. He demands a one-on-one match with Kingston tonight for the U.S. title. Roethlisberger agrees, but with one stipulation. If Miz loses, he has to say "I'm the Miz and I'm awful" as loud as he can on mic. We head to commercial.

Chavo Guerrero & Chris Masters vs. MVP & Mark Henry

Masters and Henry start things off. Henry knocks Masters down and hits a splash. He immediately grabs his knee as if it's injured and tags out. Masters tags in Chavo. MVP hits Ballin' on Chavo. Henry gets involved in the finish but collapses and sells the leg injury again.

Winners: MVP & Mark Henry

After The Match: Masters Attacks, Hornswoggle Saves

After the match, Chris Masters pushes Chavo. Chavo tries explaining but eventually gets mad and in Masters' face. Masters kicks Chavo and puts the Masterlock on him. Hornswoggle comes from under the ring and bites Masters on the leg. Chavo hits Masters with a DDT and he runs out of the ring. Chavo turns and sees that Hornswoggle was the one who helped him. Hornswoggle looks at Chavo and does the D-X crotch chop a bunch and laughs. He walks off doing the D-X chops while Chavo is in the ring looking confused.

In-Ring Segment: Ben Roethlisberger; Chris Jericho & Big Show; D-X

Our guest host for tonight is introduced once again and this time comes to the ring instead of just standing at the top of the ramp. He goes to speak but is interupted by Chris Jericho and Big Show's music. Out come the Unified Tag-Team champions. Big Show gets in Big Ben's face and asks why he's called Big Ben. He says he ain't so big. He says he heard his offensive line are big too. He says they probably aren't big either. Chris Jericho gets a line in and says "I bet they're not as big as me." Big Ben says it's interesting they should bring them up, and tells the boys to come out. Out comes the Steelers offensive line. They all come to the ring. Jericho says they aren't scared and challenges them. They huddle up. They say "break" and line up like a football game. Jericho and Big Show run out of the ring. Out of nowhere, D-X's music hits and out they come to a huge pop. Jericho cuts D-X off before they can speak and runs down their plugs, all the while saying how lame it is. HHH says that's not what they came out here for. Jericho and Big Show talk about how they're not worthy of a shot at them. HBK officially challenges the duo to a match. Ben Roethlisberger says it's official, D-X vs. JeriShow tonight.

-Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz for the U.S. title or the "I am awful" catchphrase is up after this commercial break.

United States Title:
-Kofi Kingston (c) vs. The Miz

Miz dominating the action early on. We head to a mid-match commercial pretty quick into this one. We come back and Miz is still in control of things. Lawler and Cole are talking about how he'll have to say "I am the Miz and I am awful" if he loses. Kingston hits Trouble In Paradise out of nowhere, but it knocks Miz out of the ring so he can't pin him. Kingston gets Miz back in the ring and hits the Boom Drop on him. He tries a pin but Miz breaks the count by grabbing the ropes. Miz hits the Skull Crushing Finale and pins Kingston clean. The Miz is the new United States champion.

Winner and NEW United States champion: The Miz

After The Match: Miz Is Awesome

Miz gets on the microphone after the match. He holds up the United States title. He says he is the new U.S. champion because he is The Miz and he is awesome.

Backstage: Hornswoggle, Santino & Big Ben

Backstage we see Hornswoggle and Ben Roethlisberger clowning around. In comes Santino Marella and he complains about being slapped earlier. He keeps saying Big Ben's last name wrong. Finally Hornswoggle slaps Santino and he says it right. (seriously shit funny) He shakes his hand and leaves.

-We see Chris Jericho and Big Show walking to the ring. Their match against D-Generation X is up after the commercial.

Next Week's RAW Guest Hosts Revealed

-Nancy O'Dell and Maria Menounos from Access Hollywood will be the special guest hosts for next week's WWE RAW.
Chris Jericho & Big Show vs. D-Generation X

I'm assuming this is a non-title match. Both teams have entered the ring and the match is officially underway. HHH and Jericho start things out. HHH throwing Jericho around like a rag doll here early. HHH tags HBK in. HBK chopping away at Jericho as an "HBK" chant breaks out. Jericho finally makes the tag to Big Show. HBK quickly runs over to HHH and tags him in. HHH looks excited at the prospect. HHH and Big Show are staring each other down as we head to a mid-match commercial. We return and Big Show has HHH in a bear hug. Big Show lets go and tags in Jericho. Jericho goes to work on HHH for a while. HHH finally knocks Jericho down and both guys are down. HHH is finally able to make the hot tag to HBK, who comes in like a machine. He has some fire offense until Jericho stops him in his tracks and then tags in Big Show. Big Show begins to go to work on HBK. A big brawl with all four guys breaks out. The smoke clears and it's Jericho in the ring by himself with both D-X members. He runs out of the ring and tries leaving the match but the Monday Night Football music hits again and out comes Roesthlisberger and the Steelers offensive line. They stop him and D-X gets him back in the ring. HBK hits Sweet Chin Music on Jericho and HHH pins him for the win.

Winners: D-Generation X
